Administering pet medications is part of owning a pet. Whether a pet is recovering from an illness or needs a dose of flea and tick killer, not all medications go down easy. Providers are there to care for your pet, so administering pet medications is part of Canine Migration’s home visits. It’s a little something extra for those who need extra care.
However, providers are not trained veterinarians; they cannot do injections and do not have permission to “guess” dosages. Please leave detailed instructions and supplies, including the treats your pet prefers. Care providers do not like to rummage through an owner’s home looking for anything. It invades an owner’s privacy and increases the chances of using something to which your pet is allergic.
This service is free for drop-ins and sittings. Since dog walks are more time-sensitive, administering medications during a 30-minute dog walk is an add-on cost.
